To mark the 50-day countdown to the 7th China International Import Expo, SCHOTT AG, a global leader in high-tech specialty materials, held a media reception in Shanghai on September 12. The event showcased the application scenarios, technical strengths and market prospects of specialty glass materials for the semiconductor industry, as well as the company’s layout and development in China. As SCHOTT’s exclusive strategic partner in the field of advanced packaging across China, Samcien Semiconductor was invited to attend the event. Dr. Zhang Guoping, Founder and Chairman of Samcien Semiconductor, delivered a keynote speech titled *Total Solutions of Temporary Bonding Materials for Advanced Packaging*. He elaborated on the vital supporting role of temporary bonding materials and glass substrates in advanced packaging. "Compared with conventional solutions, specialty glass features outstanding thermal, mechanical and chemical stability, along with customizable coefficient of thermal expansion. It enables advanced packaging processes such as HD Fanout, 2.5D/3D and PLP, facilitates higher chip integration and meets the demand for greater computing power." Dr. Zhang also reviewed a host of successful cooperation cases over the past five years, during which the two parties have jointly explored the advanced IC packaging market in China.
